“Friendswood is growing, and we need leadership that prioritizes residents over politics. “

About Me

Friendswood has been my family’s home for the past 19 years, and I am honored to have the opportunity to serve this incredible community. My wife, Jill, and I have been married for 28 years, and we are proud parents to 3 wonderful children..

I am committed to protecting our community from abuse and fraud. I will work with the Friendswood Police Department to find those responsible for abuse or fraud and hold them accountable. I will also partner with the City Parks and Recreation Department to create activities that promote longevity and improve quality of life.

 Independent Leadership

I am committed to independent thinking and making decisions based on what is truly best for our community. I will not simply agree for the sake of harmony when real solutions and strong decision-making are needed. Additionally, I bring a fresh perspective, free from business entanglements in Friendswood, and my commitment to public service is rooted in integrity.

I have no personal or financial ties to influential circles that could sway my decision-making, ensuring that my choices are guided solely by what is best for our community. My focus remains solely on serving the best interests of our community.  My goal is to serve with integrity and ensure that all voices are heard.

Flood Mitigation

Friendswood is a community that has long been plagued with flooding issues for decades. The solutions have often been piecemeal and not well thought out. The problem lies both upstream and downstream, and attempting to dig our way out of the problem with expensive projects that have little or no impact on our base flood water surface elevation levels is wasteful.

I have been collaborating with the Galveston County Consolidated Drainage District (GCCDD) leadership to revise their practices and policies in that regard. Their new leadership has taken on a much broader look at the problem and is moving forward with revised criteria based on studies that take the entire system into account. They have moved forward with a study that uses multi-day storm events and high tide events as the criteria for modeling, as those have been the primary cause of flooding in our community.

My goal is to coordinate with the GCCDD and surrounding flood control districts to develop more holistic regional solutions to Friendswood's flooding problems. Future development in Friendswood should prioritize flood hazard reduction with utilizing revised criteria.  Protecting our homes and businesses from flooding is a top priority. I have decades of experience working with top engineers in designing flood control solutions that work for developers, residents and businesses.

The Issues That Matter

Friendswood is a city with a proud history and a bright future, but we need strong, forward-thinking leadership to ensure it remains a great place to live, work, and raise a family. I’m running for City Council Position 6 because I believe we must take action on the issues that matter most—improving infrastructure, ensuring public safety, managing responsible growth, and supporting our local businesses.
