The Blackhawk Boulevard Phase II expansion project in Friendswood is a critical infrastructure development, stretching from Pennystone Way to FM 2351 and Thursa Lane to FM 528. This project aims to improve road access and traffic flow for residents and businesses. However, it has faced delays due to significant cash flow issues and extended timelines. Currently, the east half of the road will be addressed in the next phase, which is in the permitting process with the Texas Department of Transportation. The project is slated to go out for bid in 2025 with a total cost of $9.6 million.
